It's a busy weekend for lacrosse in Owen Sound.

It's a busy weekend for lacrosse in Owen Sound.

The annual Owen Sound stop on the Masters Tour began Friday at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.

Meanwhile, the Ontario Senior Lacrosse semifinal series between the Owen Sound Quantum Properties Woodsmen & the Brooklin Merchants begins this weekend.

Game 1 in the best of 5 is Saturday night at 8:30 PM in Owen Sound

Game 2 is Sunday night in Brooklin

The Woodsmen finished second in the regular season while Brooklin was third.

The Merchants eliminated Wellington-Dufferin in the opening round of the playoffs, while Owen Sound had a first round bye.

Woodies General Manager & President Randy Jackson expects the series to be close and rugged.

The two teams split their regular season meetings.

Owen Sound expects to have a full lineup, including Rob Milnes who missed the last few regular season games with a hyper-extended knee injury.

Milnes has been fitted with a brace & should see action in Saturday's opener.
