The Huron County Museum turns 60 years old on Monday July 4th
Assistant Curator Elizabeth French-Gibson says the Huron County Museum originally opened its doors on July 4th, 1951 and they're proud to be here 60 years later.
French-Gibson says the museum will be open for extended hours on Monday July 4th from one PM until eight in the evening and you can get in with two-for-one admission.
If you haven't been to the museum in a while, French-Gibson says July 4th will be the perfect day to get reacquainted with the site and see the newest exhibits.
Their '60 Years of Collecting' exhibit is running all year and takes a look at a variety of objects that have either been in storage for a while or is unique to Huron County.
Over the years, French-Gibson says they've collected thousands upon thousands of items and this collection is the best of the best.
