The track at Sacred Heart High School in Walkerton is busy today as students participate in Relay For Life.
Co-chair Matthew McLean says this is a very big deal for the high school students as they want to help raise money to fight cancer.
The Relay for Life event runs all day from 10 AM until 10 PM.
There will be live musical entertainers, dancers, baton and cheerleading acts as well as plenty of food tents.
The last time Sacred Heart held the Relay for Life two years ago -- the students managed to raise over 34 thousand dollars.
McLean hopes to match or beat that goal this year.
McLean encourages members of the community to drop by today and make a donation and join in the fight to make cancer history.
Just over 200 students are expected to participate today -- this is down from the last event which boast 400 students.
Part time jobs are partially to blame, and McLean says traditionally the event has been held on Friday's instead of Saturday's.
