The Hanover Civic Theatre is marking its 100th anniversary this year.
Hanover Theatre Artistic Director Marg Poste calls the 100 year milestone an 'incredible accomplishment.'
Poste notes the old Theatre has survived a lot over the years -- including a major fire as well as the challenge of keeping its doors open during tough economical times.
Poste says the support of the community and town has ensured the theatre's survival.
To mark the event, the Community Players is putting on the musical comedy ‘Burger Town’ -- and it will run from May 26th to June 5th.
Poste promises the cast of nine will keep audience members in stitches.
Tickets are 15 dollars and a dollar from each ticket will go to support the Big Brothers and Sisters of Hanover.
Poste cautions if the public doesn't continue to support amateur theatre, than it will cease to exist.
Poste notes now is also a good time to take in all of the upgrades and renovations the Theatre has undergone over the last few years.
