There is a special reunion in Owen Sound today.

About 500 people are expected to attend the Alexandra School Farewell.

A new Alexandra school is being built right behind the 100 year old school, and an open house is being held from 1 PM till 4 PM today.

Former Student Paul Flood tells us they have gathered hundreds of photos and other memorabilia to display as former students take a tour of the school.

Former Student Karen Playford says they have people coming from as far away as Toronto and Kingston for today's celebrations.

Both Flood and Playford say their biggest memories were of the teachers, and some of them will be attendance today and tonight.

There is also a meet and greet for former students starting at 6 PM at the Owen Sound legion.
