The Ministry of Labour has issued stop work orders after a worker fell 45 feet while at the Owen Sound Regional Rec Centre construction site.
The 20 year old man from the Hamilton area fell while installing a sky light on Monday afternoon.
He was airlifted to London Health Sciences Centre with a broken left wrist, broken right leg and possibly a broken elbow.
Matt Blajer -- a spokesperson with the Ministry of Labour -- tells Bayshore Broadcasting News they have an investigator at the site trying to figure out what happened.
In the meantime, Blajer says the ministry imposed work orders against Aquicon Construction.
He says one work order is in place for the second floor mezzanine area, three work orders to install guard rails, and a stop work order until those rails are put in place.
Blajer says they also issued one order for a fall protection system on the roof, as well as a stop work order.
He says the orders will be lifted once their investigator inspects the safety measures put in place.
The Ministry of Labour investigation is ongoing.
