Fake Credit Card Arrest

Point Edward | by Peter Jackson

Police say Detroit area woman arrested at border with 57 fake credit cards.

The strong Canadian dollar may have played a role in the arrest of a Detroit-area waitress who tried to enter Canada in Point Edward on Monday.

Canada Border Services says the woman had 57 fake credit cards created with information she allegedly stole from restaurant customers.

They say she had a list of expensive electronics she had intended to buy in Canada.
