Charges Upgraded to Murder

Charges upgraded against suspect from Creemore after body found near Belleville.

Charges have been upgraded against a suspect from Creemore after a body was found near Belleville last fall.

58 year old James Wayne Elder was initially charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder and indignity to a dead body.

The O-P-P say Elder has now been charged with first-degree murder.

He was first charged October 24th, and then granted bail November 18th.

The body of 48-year-old Ronald Trebilcock of Clearview Township was found in a field in October.

Police are not saying how he was killed.
