Attack Look To Douse Spitfires

Windsor | by Jon Meyer

Mark Reeds fully expects a different Spitfires team for Game 2 tonight.

Game two of the OHL Western Conference Final goes in Windsor tonight.

The Owen Sound Attack are looking to go up 2-0 against the Spitfires following that 8-1 romp in game 1.

The Attack arrived in Windsor late yesterday afternoon and Head Coach Mark Reeds is fully expecting a different Spitfires team tonight.

So too is Windsor Head Coach Bob Jones who said today "they will give fans at the WFCU Centre a game to be proud of."

The Attack are 1-1 in Windsor this regular season with their only loss coming in the shoot-out.

Surprising is the fact not a single Attack skater has broken the top 20 in playoff scoring, but then again the Attack have only played 11 playoff games.

Robby Mignardi and Garret Wilson lead the Attack in playoff points with 6 goals and 5 assists.

For Mignardi - 3 of those are power play goals.

Scott Stajcer has the best save percentage of the playoffs at 0.966 followed by teammate Michael Zador at .958.

Action starts on Grey Motors Bearadio at 6:50 PM this evening on 560 CFOS.

Game 3 is back in Owen Sound on Saturday at 7:30 PM at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

The Eastern Conference Final also resumes tonight, Mississauga takes a 1-0 series lead into Niagara.
