Ontario Hockey League Playoffs

Western Conference Quarterfinal

Plymouth Whalers 4 Kitchener Rangers 2

James Livingston scored the game winner with 3 minutes to play

Wasaga Beach native Tyler Brown sealed the victory with an empty net goal for Plymouth

The Whalers eliminated Kitchener 4-3 and now advance to meet the Owen Sound Attack in the Western Conference Semifinals

Game 1 in the Attack-Whalers series is Thursday night at 7 pm at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore

Game 1 Tickets

Attack season ticket holders are reminded they must purchase their seats by 1 pm tomorrow afternoon for Game 1 of the Playoff series with Plymouth

After 1 pm tomorrow, all available seats go on sale to the General Public.



OHL Player of the Week

The OHL Player of the Week is Erie forward Anthony Luciani

Luciani had a 4 goal game, including the game winner in overtime Friday as the Otters stayed alive in their series with Windsor.

Game 7 between Erie & the Spitfires is tonight in Windsor

Owen Sound netminder Michael Zador, who posted back to back shutouts as the Attack eliminated London on the weekend, was also considered for the award.

Belle River Canadiens 4 Wheatley Sharks 1

Belle River wins the best of 7; 4 games to 3 and now advances to the Final 4 with Grimsby, Picton & the Alliston Hornets


Winterhawks Tickets

The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks remind their fans that advance tickets for Game 1 of the Championship Series with the Monkton Wildcats go on sale tomorrow morning.

Advance tickets will be available Wednesday at Lakeshore Recreation in Port Elgin

Lakeshore Recreation opens Monday through Friday at 6:30 am



Dayco National Snowcross Championships

Iain Hayden of Holland Center turned in a first place and second place performance in the 2 Pro Open Modified Finals

Jeremy van Dolder of Annan won one of 2 Finals in the Semi Pro Stock Division



Rock Trip

A bus trip has been organized to see the Toronto Rock game on FRIDAY against the Buffalo Bandits.

Two coaches will going, departing from Lion's Head at 2:30 pm, Wiarton at 3 pm with a pick up in Owen Sound at 3:30 pm

The cost of the trip & game ticket is $ 60
