The Huron Perth Farm to Table Network, along with Sustainable Huron, is hosting an event in Brodhagen for producers, retailers and processors.
Opportunities Project Coordinator Joan Brady says it's meant for networking and educating those groups on what customers are looking for and how to communicate with them.
Brady says two speakers will be there to talk about consumer research and attracting new customers directly to farmers.
She says the local food initiative is creating a bigger market for people to get their fruits and vegetables directly from the farmer, and this event will help them learn about marketing their product.
And with summer coming up, Brady says there will be lots of opportunities at farmers markets and similar events around the region to utilize those skills.
The free event starts at 12:30 PM on Monday at Brodhagen Hall.
