A sneaker worn by Stratford-born singing sensation Justin Bieber has gone to a lucky bidder on eBay.
Bieber donated the size seven and-a-half right purple Nike to Stratford Northwestern Secondary School where he attended before his singing career took off.
The winning bid was 55-hundred dollars but bids earlier in the week had gone beyond 12-thousand dollars but some of the high bids were not legitimate.
Northwestern teacher Keith Edwards says the school is delighted the shoe sold but that the price plummeted in the auction's last couple of days.
Grade 11 student Abbie Chalmers was involved in the on-line auction.
Chalmers says the scuffed shoe is autographed with Bieber's full name and the winning bidder also gets a letter of authenticity.
Proceeds from the auction will go towards the construction of a broadcasting and communications studio at the school.
