High Water Advisory

Ausable Bayfield | by Peter Jackson

Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority issues high water safety advisory.

More rainfall across the Ausable and Bayfield River watersheds has resulted in the issue of another high water safety advisory.

The Ausable-Bayfield Conservation authority warns that water levels in rivers and streams are expected to rise until the onset of colder conditions on Saturday.

While no major flooding is anticipated the ABCA is keeping an eye on the potential of ice-jams in the Port Franks area.

Again, you're reminded to keep away from slippery river and stream banks while water levels are high and the flow is much faster than normal.
