Women in the Arts are being celebrated at the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound tonight.
The Zonta Club of Owen Sound has put the show together to celebrate the centennial year of International Women's Day, which took place on Tuesday.
Zonta member and one of the event organizers Donna Beatty says they've brought together about 20 different female artists to showcase and sell their work.
But she says it's a unique variety of women they have -- ranging from Sheila Milne's highland dancers, to oil painters, stain glass artists and jewellery makers.
She says Caroline Menzies will also be there to read some of her poetry.
All of the artists have donated items to the silent auction as well, and Beatty says all of the proceeds with go to the Women's Centre of Grey & Bruce.
Proceeds from admission to the event will support the Women's Centre as well.
The event takes place from 7 PM to 9 PM Wednesday at the Bayshore Community Centre.
Tickets are 12 dollars in advance, or 15 dollars at the door -- advance tickets can be bought at the Library or the Ginger Press.
