High Water Warning

Regional | by Mariane McLeod

Nottawasaga Conservation Authority issues high water warning with wet, mild weather.

Three days of rain and snow on the way means the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority is out with a warning about high water.

The NVCA says heavy snow expected today and overnight combined with heavy rain will mean an increased risk for ice jams in creeks and streams.

They're asking you to be sure your kids and pets stay away from watercourses with unstable ice and fast-flowing water.

The notice is in effect until Friday.
