Huron County starts checking the subscriber listing for the PRISM 911 emergency telephone system on Monday.
PRISM 911 went into service in late 2009 and since then about 44 per-cent of Huron County households have signed up for the automated service.
Emergency Services Chief David Lew tells us there are around 33-thousand households in Huron.
Lew says if they can get close to the 33-thousand to subscribe then PRISM 911 would be doing very well.
In its first full year of operation in 2010 PRISM 911 issued 28 automated calls for situations ranging from police actions to boil-water advisories.
