Curling For Kids

Hanover | by Daryl Morris

The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Hanover are trying a new fundraiser this year.

The Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Hanover are trying a new fundraiser this year.

Executive Director Chantal LaDuke says they'll be hosting their first ever Curl For Kids Sake this Sunday.

LaDuke says the event is a fun-spiel, so it's perfect for anybody who's never tried curling before, or anyone who just wants to have some fun.

For 30 dollars per person you'll get a game of curling, and a lunch provided by the Kinette Club of Hanover.

There will also be a turkey shoot where you will try to get your rock closest to a frozen turkey on the ice. But since the turkey is frozen, it can move.

All of the proceeds go to Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

LaDuke says you don't need to have a team of four. Anybody can sign up to play and teams will be made and filled out.

She is hoping this event becomes as successful as the Bowl for Kids Sake has grown to be.

The event takes place Sunday March the 6th starting at 10 AM.
