AAA Minor Midget

KIA OF OWEN SOUND GREY BRUCE HIGHLANDERS AAA MINOR MIDGETS
 
Kia of Owen Sound Grey Bruce Highlanders AAA Minor Midgets completed their regular season action with a hard fought  4-4 tie this weekend against the leagues 1st place team Welland Tigers in St. Catherine's on Sunday. Highlander scoring came from Brandon Eagles (2), Zachary Coulter and Tyler McCracken. 
 
The Kia of Owen Sound Grey Bruce Highlanders AAA Minor Midgets will compete in their SCTA League Qualifier next weekend in Hamilton.  The Highlanders will play Oakville and Niagara Falls on Friday and Guelph and Welland on Saturday.  You can follow the team on the Highlanders website throughout the weekend.

WOAA Midget

TCDMHA Sierra Aggregates Rebels defeated Shallow Lake in Shallow Lake Sunday afternoon by a score of 2-1.  Jed Nuttall scored for Shallow Lake in the second period.  Rory Joyce's goal tied the game in the third period.  Braden Gatemanscored the winning goal.  The Rebels were able to hold off a six man attack to win the game.


 

Bantam

WOAA Bantam

On Sunday, Feb. 7 the Shallow Lake Lakers travelled to Chatsworth to play against the TCDMHA Air Tech Mechanical Bantam Rep Rebels in WOAA round robin play.  The Rebels won the game 3-2. Scoring for the Rebels were Jordan Baumber, Andrew Wheeler and Mackenzie Pringle.  Scoring for the Lakers were Tye Martin and James Rossiter.  The two teams face each other next on Thursday at 7 pm in Shallow Lake.

Peewee Girls 

The TCDMHA Pee Wee ā€˜Cā€™ Rebel Girls played at home on Saturday against the Blyth/Brussels team and won that game with a score of 6 to 0.  Scoring for the Rebels were Morgan Williamson with a hattrick, Haleigh Weppler, Kaitlin Brancati and Rachel Aitcheson with 1 goal each.

On Sunday the Rebel girls travelled to Owen Sound to play the Ice Hawks in game 4 of their OWHA Provincial Playdowns and took that game with a score of 6 to 2.  Scoring for the Rebel girls were Morgan Williamson scoring her 50th goal of the season with 2 goals in the game, Kaitlin Brancati with 2 goals, Mikayla Whitney and Gabby Jex with 1 goal each.

 

 


Atom

 The Leeder and Associates atoms split their weekend playoff games against 
Collingwood to open up their Georgian Bay League semi final series. Both
games were played at the Bayshore. Collingwood won the first game 7-3 with 
Connor Roberts,Hayden Coulter and Shawn Keuken scoring. Roberts and Joshua Hamill scored as OS rebounded for a 2-1 win Sunday. The third game is in 
Collingwood March 7th.

 


WOAA Atom


The Great Lakes Frame Company Atom Rep Rebels played two games this weekend in the WOAA round robin play-downs.  Saturday the TCDMHA Rebels visited Listowel to take on their AE squad.  Kaiden Legge had his best game of the year, scoring a hat trick, while Owen Torrie and Brandon Stewart added two each, and Zack Vokes and Reid Gill added singles to round out the scoring.  The TCDMHA Rebels defeated Listowel AE by a final score of 8-1.


On Sunday the Rebels were home to the Otters from Teeswater.  Owen Torrie scored 4 goals, Brandon Stewart and Zack Vokes each got two, and Kaiden Legge added a single to round out the score 9-0.  Briten Marcell earned the shut out for the Rebels.


The Great Lakes Frame Company Rebels are currently undefeated in the WOAA round robin.  They will travel to Brussels on Friday night then back home in Chatsworth to host Mitchell AE on Saturday.

 

Novice

 

It was a banner weekend for the Owen Sound QuikLube Junior Attack Novice AE team.  

Saturday, Feb. 26th saw the Jr. Attack reach a 2-2 tie against Coldwater after overtime. 

Singles were added by Gavin Downs and Kieran Moore. 

The Novice AE team fought hard on Sunday to defeat Coldwater in a 2-0 win. 

Goals were scored by Travis Morrison and Drayton Howell.

 

 

 


 


The TCDMHA Ed McNabb Roofing Novice LL#1 Rebels were visitors in a WOAA Novice North Local League match that pitted the LL#1 Rebels against their Association counterparts, the LL#2 Rebels.  LL#2 defeated LL#1 4-1.

 Jakob Moran and Tristin Brown each had a goal and an assist for the LL#2 squad.  Chandler Weikmann and Clay Kreuger each had a goal while Janna Wardell chipped in with an assist.

 Nicholas Garrett scored the only goal for LL#1 Rebels.
