The Livery in Goderich is going to be needing some repairs.
In a presentation brought forward to council by the Little Theatre -- they discuss some changes to the building that are needed to keep it successful.
Deputy Mayor John Grace tells Bayshore Broadcasting News the roof of the Livery needs some fixing.
Grace says there are many health issues that need sorted out as well.
He adds the building will likely need to begin undergoing some renovations within the next year and possibly even by this summer.
The town of Goderich is in the process to taking over the Livery's property.
Grace says that will allow the town to invest some money in the theatre.
He adds they will need to start the negotiating to allow it to happen.
The Goderich Little Theatre is also looking into a bright future.
They would eventually like to see an Arts Centre across from the Livery.
Grace tells us it's still a long way from happening.
He says council hasn't yet received any reports back pertaining to whether they can afford it or sustain it.
The Little Theatre is asking for 150 thousand dollars.
Council has decided for staff to continue going over the memorandum of understanding and refer it to the budget.
