Downtown Owen Sound will be rockin' this Saturday as Mudtown Records presents the Fox Chrysler Lupercalia Winter Art and Culture Festival.
Lupercalia features over two dozen local artists and musicians at more than half a dozen downtown venues.
The festival gets its name from an ancient Roman festival celebrating the outgoing winter and the beginning of spring.
Josh Richardson of Mudtown Records says you can catch performances by Larry Jensen, Blobject, Liam Sanagan of First Rate People, The Big Love, Tyler Wagler and Joel Morelli, and more.
The event kicks off at 9 AM Saturday and runs all day at venues such as Randy's Records, The Frog Pond, The Ginger Press, Jazzmyn's, The Chaise Lounge and many more.
Richardson says a number of musical genres will be represented -- everything from traditional Celtic music, acoustic jams and good old fashioned rock and roll.
He adds people may be familiar with some of the acts that have been featured on Bayshore Broadcasting stations, and there are new performers to check out as well.
All access tickets are $10 advance, $12 at the door, $5 for 18 and under, free for children 6 and under.
Richardson says tickets are available at all the downtown Owen Sound Venues, as well as online at www.mudtown.com and the Bayshore Broadcasting website.
