The Owen Sound Marine & Rail Museum is celebrating Marine Month with a few special events.
An exhibit is opening Wednesday night called Inspirations: The Art of Duane Fenwick.
Curator Mindy Gill says Fenwick is a local artist who first came to her attention when he loaned a painting for the Shipwrecks exhibit.
This time around, Gill says they will feature 12 of Fenwick's paintings of various boats that have been in Owen Sound's harbour over the years.
There will also be a chance to meet Fenwick and talk about his inspirations.
Community Outreach Coordinator Kathy Strutt says that will take place this Sunday from 2 PM until 4 PM at the Marine & Rail Museum.
The Museum will also be hosting a chance to meet the captains and crews of various ships docked around Grey-Bruce.
That takes place on Saturday at the Downtown Book Store in Owen Sound from 2 PM until 4 PM.
Admission is free to the events, but donations to the museum are always welcomed.
To celebrate marine month, admission to the museum has been lowered to two dollars during the entire month of February.
