Ilya Kovalchuk’s overtime goal helped the New Jersey Devils beat Toronto 2-1. Devils Coach Jacques Lemaire became the 8th coach in N-H-L history to reach 600 wins.

Elsewhere in the N-H-L, it was the N-Y Islanders with a 4-3 shootout victory at Montreal. Philly topped Carolina 2-1, Pittsburgh knocked off Los Angeles 2-1 and Buffalo edged Florida 3-2. 

8 games on the ice tonight with only one Canadian team in action…the Calgary Flames will host Anaheim at 9:00.

In local O-H-L action, Mississauga struck for 3 goals in the 3rd period en route to a 5-3 victory in Barrie. The Colts will look to get back on track tonight in St. Catharines where they’ll take on the Niagara Ice Dogs.

Collingwood welcomes the Aurora Tigers in Junior A action tonight. Puck drop: 8:00 at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena.

Georgian Bay Mid-Ontario Junior C playoffs continue tonight with Penetang at Midland for Game 4 in their series. Midland leads the best-of-7 series 2-1.
