From the N-H-L, The Toronto Maple Leafs rallied from 2 goals down to pull out a 5-4 win over Atlanta. Vancouver padded its lead atop the N-H-L with a 4-2 win over Ottawa. The Canucks have 6 straight wins. The Calgary Flames moved into a playoff spot in the Western Conference after a 3-1 victory over Chicago. And, the Edmonton Oilers busted a 4-game slump with a 4-0 victory in Nashville.

6 games on the ice tonight with Toronto the only Canadian team in action. They visit the New York Islanders at 7:00.

In Georgian Bay Mid-Ontario Junior "C" playoff action, it was a 9-2 victory for Stayner in Schomberg last night. The Siskins now lead the series 3-nothing. Game 4 goes Thursday night at 8 in Schomberg.

Over to basketball… No team in N-B-A history has lost as many games in a row as the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Dallas Mavericks beat Cleveland 99-96, making it 25 straight losses for the Cavs.

In the rest of the N-B-A: Canadian Steve Nash was in a giving mood on his 37th birthday. Nash dished up 15 assists to go with 14 points as the Phoenix Suns burned Golden State 104-92. Elsewhere, Portland defeated the Chicago Bulls 109-103. The Bobcats snapped a 6-game losing streak to Boston, 94-89 in Charlotte. Kobe Bryant led the L-A Lakers to a 93-84 win over Memphis. And, the Utah Jazz rallied for a 107-104 victory over Sacramento.

7 games on the hardwood tonight. Toronto’s in Milwaukee, while the first-place San Antonio Spurs visit Detroit.
