Western Junior C Playoff Preview

Regional | by Jon Meyer

Bulldogs and Barons matchup has the makings of a close series.

The Western Junior C' Hockey League playoff picture is now framed.

Perhaps the most exciting playoff series in the first round features the fifth ranked Kincardine Bulldogs against fourth seeded Hanover.

The Barons and Bulldog's split their regular season matchup's 3-3 and finished a game above .500 for the year.

The Bulldogs secured home ice with a win Sunday against Goderich ---- which may be a key factor in the outcome of the best-of-five series ---- as Hanover is currently riding a 4 game winning streak at the P and H Centre.

The first game goes this Saturday @ 7:30pm at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

Meantime, Mount Forest plays Mitchell and the Goderich Sailors travel to Wingham ---- where the Sailors failed to take a point from the Ironmen all season.

With those matchup's set, that leaves the first place Walkerton Hawks who enjoy a first round bye.
