Lucknow is the first stop on the Paul Henderson cross-Canada Summit Series Jersey Tour.
The Henderson Jersey Homecoming Tour features Paul Hendersons' 1972 Summit Series Jersey, the hockey gloves he wore in that game, and rare Canadian hockey memorabilia.
Lucknow received more votes than any other village, town or city to win the first stop honours, and it's also Henderson's home town.
Smart Centres Real Estate in Toronto nabbed the historic jersey for over one million dollars.
Representative Dane Gergovich says they asked Canadians from coast to coast to submit why their community deserves to be the tour’s launching point.
Lucknow was the clear winner, and will host the Jersey Tour today from 5 PM to 8 PM.
The tour is also stopping in Kincardine from Noon to 4 PM on Saturday, in Hanover on Monday and then in Owen Sound on February 24th.
