Minor Hockey Results

Midget Girls

The Walkerton Midget girls rep team won the Woodstock Wildcat's Midget B Hockey Tournament this weekend, winning the final game 1-0 against Sarnia in overtime.

Walkerton goalie Katie Grubb allowed only one goal through four tournament games".

 

AAA Midget
 
Kia of Owen Sound Grey Bruce Highlanders AAA Minor Midgets continued their regular season action with a tough but hard fought loss this weekend.  They competed with a home game on Saturday against one of the leagues top teams in Chesley.   The game on Saturday against the Welland Tigers ended  with a 3-2 loss with Justin Graham and Nate Kramer scoring the Highlanders goals.  The Highlanders goalie was Keith Gallacher and he played very solid in the pipes.

Midget Local League


Mount Forest played at Chatsworth on  Monday evening against the TCDMHA Sierra Aggregates Midget Rebel Local League team, winning 4-1.  Goals were scored by Spencer Shaw, Luke Hogg, Jacob Marshall and Gavin MacVicar.  Tyler Girdler scored late in the 3rd period for the Rebels.

Bantam

Cameron Stryker (assisted by Andrew Wheeler and Tyler Dietrich) opened the scoring for the TCDMHA AIR TECH MECHANICAL Bantam Rep Rebels on Monday, January 10 in a 3-2 loss to the C.A.W. Saugeen Shores Storm.  The Storm travelled to Chatsworth for the Rebels last game of WOAA league play.  Myles Johnson (assist to Wheeler) also scored for the Rebels with another great shot from the point.  The Rebels were down 2-0 and came back to tie the game.  Unfortunately, Steve Langendoen scored the game winner for the Storm late in the third period.  The other Storm goals went to Matt Teschke and James Besito. 
  The Rebels finish the season with a 7-9-2 record.  They go on to play the Teeswater Otters in the first round of OMHA playdowns.  Game 1 is at 2 pm on Saturday, January 15 at 2 pm in Chatsworth.

Windsor Spitfires 4 Grey-Bruce Highlanders 2

The Albion Amusement/Geosmart Energy Highlanders experience a Canadian-like collapse loosing giving up 4 unanswered third period goals (including an empty net) in the third frame.  GB goals from Jake Wilson and Justin Donnelly.  Excellent tournament finishing round robin 2-1-1 good enough for second in their pool.

 


Peewee

The Owen Sound Hyundai Attack lost to Collingwood in Collingwood, 2 to 0

Owen Sound lost to Dundalk at the Bayshore, 8 to 2

Dustin Lantz scored both goals

Owen Sound tied 4-4 with Elmvale in Elmvale
