Scores and Games

3 wins in a row… that’s what the Toronto Maple Leafs have for the first time since October.  Nikolai Kulemin broke a two-all tie in the 3rd period and the Leafs went on to beat the L-A Kings 3-2.

The Boston Bruins were within 3-and-a-half minutes from their 5th loss in 6 games when they erupted against the Penguins. Zdeno Chara scored a power-play goal, sparking a four-goal outburst that gave the Bruins a 4-2 victory.  Mark Recchi scored the game-winner on a power play with 50 seconds to play.

There was just over 3 minutes left in the Coyotes and Blues games, when Taylor Pyatt scored the go-ahead, as Phoenix edged St. Louis 4-3.
Matt Duchene scored twice as the Colorado Avalanche halted the Red Wings' 3-game win streak, with a 5-4 victory.

The New York Rangers acquired Wojtek Wolski  from Phoenix.
In return, they sent defenceman Michael Rozsival to the Coyotes.

It went down to the wire in the B-C-S Championship game. Michael Dyer got Auburn to the one-yard line and a last-play field goal won the top prize in U-S college football 22-19 over Oregon. The win finished a 14-and-oh season for the top-ranked Tigers.
