This week is Mental Health Week.
Unfortunately, many planned activities to heighten the awareness of Children's Mental Health locally have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Keystone Child, Youth & Family Services, the Children's Mental Health agency for Grey and Bruce Counties, relates the needs of young people remain paramount in their service delivery.
The Executive Director for Keystone Phil Dodd states this week is an important one is heightening the awareness of mental for youngsters in our region.
Statistically, Dodd relates one in 5 youngsters will experience a challenge with mental health. Based on the population of Grey & Bruce, Dodd reasons there are 6,000 youngsters in need of support and services.
The organization is open for referrals from parents and youth up to age 18, who may find themselves struggling in these unprecedented times.
Keystone Child, Youth & Family Services is proud that many local organizations, businesses and individuals have stepped up to assist in meeting the demands of the community.
