Break-In Reported At Seasonal Home In Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh

Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh | by Fadi Didi

Police say it appears suspects were living inside the home, drug paraphernalia left behind.

OPP are reporting another break-in at a seasonal home in Huron County.

According to police, workers were checking a property along Runway Line this week, and found someone had been living inside.

Reports say blankets were put over the windows, items were left out of place, and drug paraphernalia was left behind.

It is estimated the suspects were inside the home between April 23 and 27th.

This follows news of at least eleven break-ins to properties and sheds at a trailer park in Goderich, as well as a seasonal home along Golf Course Road, in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.

Property owners are encouraged to have someone check vacation properties during the off-season, to ensure the building is secure.

The OPP continue to appeal to persons living in and around trailer parks and/or seasonal homes to report any and all suspicious activity to police when it happens.
