2,000 Care Packages For Those In Need In Bruce County

A community collaboration of local businesses is making care packages available to those in need.

$100,000 in locally-sourced essential items is going to help those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic in Saugeen Ojibway Nation, Saugeen Shores and Kincardine

It's the result of A collaboration between bruce power and the Chamber of Commerce and BIAs in Kincardine and  Saugeen Shores.

Giant Tiger in Port Elgin and Sobey's, Canadian Tire and Rexall in Kincardine, made essential products available for Bruce Power to purchase - 2,000 care packages.

Those will be distributed by the end of the week to people in need through the Bruce County Housing Service, Saugeen First Nation and the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation, and community organizations in Bruce County.
