Mayor Brown Defends Town's Response to COVID-19

Orangeville | by Jill Young

Orangeville Mayor Sandy Brown is defending work by municipal officials "behind the scenes" during pandemic.

Orangeville Mayor Sandy Brown is reassuring residents that the Town is doing all it can to keep people informed during the pandemic.

In a post on his Facebook page, Brown states that he has heard that some residents feel that Town Council should be doing more to update on the situation.

Brown says there are daily updates from provincial and federal levels of government and health officials each day, and at the municipal level, they are working behind the scenes each day to ensure the needs of the community are met.

Three days a week the Mayor says he sits down for “Coffee Chats” with staff and community members to discuss how the pandemic is affecting our daily lives.

The next virtual Town Council meeting is Monday April 20th.
