Huron County Looks To Connect Laid Off Workers With Employers

Economic Development officials say companies in Huron County looking to fill need, despite COVID-19 outbreak.

Huron County is looking to connect laid off workers with businesses needing staff.

Economic Development officials with the county are looking to hear from essential service businesses, who need help meeting staffing levels during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Jokey Plastics in Goderich is tripling production of sanitizing wipe containers and is receiving increasing orders for food containers, and have an immediate need for workers to staff their machines.

Unemployed workers interested in filling an essential role, either on a permanent or short-term basis, are encouraged to contact The Centre for Employment and Learning or Conestoga Career Centre.
