Bluewater | by Peter Jackson

Councillors help their first virtual meeting this week, as more municipalities begin conducting business online.

Bluewater Municipal Council is the latest in the area, to start meeting in cyberspace.

Council Monday held its first meeting by video link, with Interim Chief Administrative Officer Laurie Spence-Bannerman and Clerk Chandra Alexander in chambers to supervise the link.

Members of Council participated from their homes.

On the same day, Huron County Council approved a procedural By-Law amendment, that allows for similar virtual meetings which will start on April 1st.

The Town of Goderich will hold its next Council meeting on April 6th, after cancelling a regular meeting and a budget deliberation session scheduled for earlier this week.
