Shelburne Announces Relief Plan

Mayor Wade Mills announced the deferral of property tax payments Tuesday.

A community relief plan has been released by the Town of Shelburne.

They will be easing the financial burden on residents by waiving penalty charges on the May 21st tax installment. 

The due date will be deferred to June 19th for those that can't pay.

People on the monthly or installment based plan have to contact the office for a needed deferral.

Penalty charges on the March 27th due date for water and sewer charges will be put off until April 27th.

Overnight parking restrictions have been lifted, and dog license payments have been deferred until June 1st.

A working group is being established to determine critical needs and facilitate relief for businesses.

Those who need to make payment arrangements must call 519-925-2600, ext 253 for property taxes and ext 231 for water and sewer.
