Some Question March Break Travel

Regional | by Jill Young

Airlines planning to calm fears about coronavirus for Canadians.

One of the questions with coronavirus and March Break coming up next week is, is it safe to travel?

Both WestJet and Air Canada say they while clean aircraft and infection control procedures are already in place, they have increased cleaning of planes at their busiest hubs.

They are also relaxing the rules a bit on changing your flight.

When you purchase a ticket from now until March 31st, they will let you make a one-time change to your flight without a fee, up to 14 days before travel.

Air Canada says you can get a full refund if you have a flight booked to Israel, Italy, or Asia.
