Teen Charged After Rear-End Collision In North Huron

Police say man fled the scene of crash, before being found over legal blood-alcohol limit and storing a rifle.

A teen has been charged, following a pair of crashes in the North Huron area.

OPP say a motorist was rear-ended by a sport utility vehicle Friday, travelling eastbound on Belgrave Road.

According to reports, the driver of the SUV failed to stop, and later ditched his vehicle at the intersection of Currie Line and Reid Road.

Police say they located the driver, who tested above the legal limit for blood alcohol.

OPP also report finding three rifles and ammunition stored in a careless manner inside the vehicle.

A 19 year old Wellesley man is facing three charges, including impaired driving, failure to stop after accident, and careless storage of a firearm.

He will answer to charges in Goderich Court on April 6th.
