CWOSSA Hockey

The Owen Sound District Wolves are at the  CWOSSA " AAA " Boys Hockey in Fergus where they'll play twice today, hoping to advance to the Final 4 tomorrow.


The CWOSSA " A-AA " Boys Hockey Tournament is at Waterford & Simcoe today & tomorrow.

There are 3 Bluewater teams competing; the St Mary's Mustangs, the Kincardine District Knights & the Sacred Heart Crusaders.

Jacob Perreault scored twice to lead the Sting.

Owen Saye with his first OHL goal & captain Ryan McGregor also scored for Sarnia who have been eliminated from playoff contention

Keegan Stevenson had the lone goal for the Storm who are 6th in the Western Conference, 4 points up on Owen Sound.

The Attack are at Sarnia Friday ( 6:30 pm for Kia of Owen Sound-Terry's Trailer Service Bearadio on 560 CFOS )

 

Spirit 4 Erie 3

Cole Perfetti scored and had a 3 point game as Saginaw won their 7th in a row.

Cole Coskey, Damien Giroux & Danil Antropov also scored for the Spirit who lead the west Division and hold the # 2 seed in the Western Conference.

Brendan Sellan, Chad Yetman and Hayden Fowler scored for the Otters who are 8th in the Western Conference.

Erie is 5 points back of Owen Sound for 7th and 3 points up on Sault Ste Marie for the final playoff position.

 

Knights 3 Generals 1

Brett Brochu earned his 32nd win, setting a new OHL record for rookie goaltender wins in a single season 

Connor McMichael scored the game winner late in the 3rd period as London won their 7th in a row.

Liam Foudy & Matvey Guskov also scored for the Western Conference leading Knights 

Overager Brett Neumann had the Generals goal

 

Rangers 3 Spitfires 2

Axel Bergkvist scored the game winning goal late in the 3rd period for the Rangers.

Greg Meireles & Michael Vukojevic added single markers for Kitchener who snapped a 2 game losing streak

Tyler Angle & Egor Afanasyev scored for the Spitfires who have lost 3 in a row.
 


67's 8 Battalion 0

Jack Quinn and Noel Hoefenmayer both scored twice for the 67's who lead the Eastern Conference.

Former Attack forward Daylon Groulx, Mitchell Hoelscher, Marco Rossi and defender Teddy Sawyer also scored for Ottawa

Will Cranley posted the shutout

The loss leaves the Battalion 4 points back of the final playoff spot in the eastern Conference
 


Wolves 8 Frontenacs 0

Brad Chenier and Owen Gilhula both scored twice for the Wolves while Christian Purboo posted the shutout.

Blake Murray, Adam Samuelsson, Matej Pekar and Nolan Hutcheson also scored for Sudbury who are close to nailing down the #2 seed in the eastern Conference.

The Frontenacs remain tied with Niagara for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

 

Petes 12 IceDogs 1

Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, Nick Robertson, Akil Thomas & Zach gallant all scored twice for the Petes.

Thomas had 6 points Ginat hia former team,

Brady Hinz, Declan Chisholm, John-Parker Jones & Max Grondin had single markers for Peterborough

Jonah De Simone had the lone IceDogs goal.


Wednesday, the Owen Sound Attack host the Barrie Colts at the JD McArthur Arena.

The Durham Lady Huskies defeated the Stratford Aces 5-2 Saturday to win the Southern Ontario Women’s Hockey League " B " Playoffs Championship.
