Public Health Answers Coronavirus Questions

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health has a phone line people can call in to, to get questions answered about COVID-19.

As more and more news comes out about the coronavirus, local health officials are trying to ease your worries.

There are currently around 18 confirmed positive coronavirus cases in Ontario, all of them are people who traveled somewhere or who were in contact with a close family member who did.

There are still no locally developed cases here so far, however Canada's Health Minister does say we should prepare for a domestic outbreak of the coronavirus.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health has a page full of information on the virus including how many cases there are in different areas, and how to prevent getting sick.

They have a phone number where people can call in and get answers to questions, and it's open from 9 am to 4 pm weekdays at 1-800-265-7293 ext. 7006

Health officials say the risk of infection is still considered low.
