Increase in Vehicle Break and Enters in New Tecumseth

Nottawasaga OPP say the number of unlocked vehicles being broken into is on the rise.

There's an increase in vehicle break-ins in the New Tecumseth area.

Notttawasaga OPP say they've been getting a lot of calls about unlocked vehicles being targeted by thieves.

Police say drivers need to make sure their valuables are protected, and leaving their vehicle unlocked is an invitation for would be criminals to take advantage.

They say an experienced thief can steal a car in as little as 30 seconds. 

Police remind people to remove all money and valuables from your vehicle when you leave it, or put them out of sight.
