It's going to be a very scary day for a Gravenhurst boy and his family.
Jordyn Guimond, 12, will undergo surgery at 11a.m. for a rare brain tumour.
He has a non-cancerous tumour and cysts around his brain, which have attached themselves to vital nerves in his body.
According to a GoFundMe page set up for Jordyn's family, the surgery is very high risk, so the doctors are going in to pop the cysts, praying they don’t fill back up.
But it added that the doctor is 90% confident this particular surgery will have no side effects.
Jordyn will need further surgeries to one day remove the tumour, but with the pressure and fluid build-up, it’s important to drain it now.
