Multiple Reports of Stolen Vehicles in Orangeville

Orangeville | by Jill Young

Orangeville Police say three out of the four stolen vehicles were left unlocked, and running.

Orangeville Police are looking into another theft of a vehicle from a driveway.

They say they were called Tuesday February 25th morning at around 8:40 am to a home on Howard Crescent.

The victim said they started the SUV to warm it up, went inside before coming back out 10 minutes later to see the vehicle was gone.

It's described as a black 2016 Hyundai Santa-Fe with Ontario license plates CCWC634.

Police are continuing their investigation and would like to hear from anyone who might have any information.

Anyone with information can call OPS or Crime Stoppers.

Authorities say this is the fourth such incident in the Rolling Hills area in the last two weeks with three out of the four stolen vehicles were running, unlocked and unattended.

Two of the vehicles were found shortly after they were reported missing not far from where they were taken.

Police are reminding residents to keep vehicles locked and valuables out of sight when unattended and to be vigilant for suspicious people and activity in their neighbourhoods.
