A 22-year-old Barrie man faces Speeding and Stunt Driving charges following a traffic stop in Innisfil.
On Friday around 4 pm, police on Yonge Street near Stroud observed a northbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was tracked through an 80 km/h zone into a 50 zone at speeds in excess of 60 kilometres of the posted speed limit.
The driver's licence was suspended for seven days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
He was released with a future court date.
Police remind that speed kills.
Twenty-seven per cent of fatalities and 19% of serious injuries involve speeding.
