US Army Says Lake Huron Water is at Highest Levels in 40 Years

Lake Huron has risen 3 inches since December and is 20 inches higher than this time last year.

If you've been to the Lake Huron Shoreline recently it will come as no suprise that water levels are the highest they've been since the 1980's.

Accoridng to the US Army Corps of Engineers Websites which monitors lake levels, Lake Huron has risen 3 inches since December and is 20 inches higher than this time last year.

Lake Huron is currently sitting at 581.69 ft which is only 5 inches lower then the record year of 1987.

Seven years ago (2013) water levels on Lake Huron were at their lowest which is 68 inches lower than todays total.

Environement Canada says water levels of all the Great Lakes remain well above average, with all of the lakes either at their second or third highest monthly average water levels for November on record (1918 to 2018).

The Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation predicts that by June 2020 the water level will rise to 582.611 ft.
