Georgian Bay Man Charged With Assaulting A Police Officer

A red Ford Mustang was found in a ditch and its driver became violent and reportedly assaulted the investigating officer.

A Georgian Bay man faces charges after he allegedly assaulted a police officer.

The incident happened during an investigation into a single-vehicle crash on Honey Harbour Road between Hillsdale Drive and Oak Bay Road. 

A red Ford Mustang was found in a ditch and its driver became violent and reportedly assaulted the investigating officer.

26-year-old Jamie Joseph Gendron faces charges including impaired driving, failing to comply with a demand, two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, assaulting an officer and resisting arrest, plus failing to surrender insurance, license, vehicle permit and driver id charges. 

He was released and is to appear in Midland court February 6th.
