Owen Sound | by Matt Hermiz

Third straight win for Owen Sound.

The Owen Sound Attack continue to find ways to win on the road.

Rookies Kaleb Lawrence and Deni Goure each scored as the Attack cruised past the Peterborough Petes 5-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. The Attack won their third straight game, and extended their road winning streak to four games dating back to Dec. 14.

Matthew Philip, Adam McMaster and Barret Kirwin also scored for Owen Sound (18-15-3-2), which led 2-0 after the first period and never trailed in the game.

Nick Robertson notched both goals for the Petes (25-12-2-1), which lost their fourth straight game.

Mack Guzda made 26 saves in the win, while Hunter Jones stopped 22 taking the loss. Peterborough outshot Owen Sound 28-27 while going 1 for 2 on the power play; the Attack finished 1 for 2 as well.

The Attack are right back in action tonight as they continue a three-game road trip this weekend with a stop in Kingston against the Frontenacs.

You can hear the play-by-play beginning at 6:30 p.m. on 560 CFOS and on Kia of Owen Sound-Terry's Trailer Service Bearadio.

Sunday, the Attack visit the east-leading Ottawa 67's and their former teammate Daylon Groulx.
