Goderich | by Fadi Didi

Alexandra Marine & General Hospital foundation raises $4.53 million to purchase new CT scanner, upgrade mental health facility.

The Alexandra Marine & General Hospital Foundation has exceeded their fundraising goal, for upgrades at the Goderich hospital.

Since earlier this year, the foundation announced a fundraising goal of $3.5 million to purchase a new CT scanner at the hospital, and make upgrades to third-floor mental health facility.

Officials have announced the nearly year-long fundraising target has been exceeded, as the foundation raised $4.53 million.

According to a release, the CT scanner will cost an estimated $1.5 million, while upgrades to the mental health facility will use the remainder of the funding.
