80th Annual Christmas Fund Broadcast

Along with Residential Hospice 20 other local charities will receive an equal portion of all funds raised.

A local Christmas tradition is entering it's 80th year tomorrow.  

The Owen Sound Sun Times and Bayshore Broadcasting are partnering again to put on the Christmas Fund Broadcast, this years main focus will be donations to Residential Hospice Grey Bruce.  

Managing Director of Bayshore Broadcasting Kevin Brown is proud of the way the broadcast has grown and the local support it provides.

"It's hard to believe but it's been like 80 years since the first Christmas Fund Broadcast," Brown says.

He goes on to outline the break down of the donations saying that $5,000 will go to Residential Hospice, $2,500 to the REACH Centre Grey Bruce and OSHaRE each.

Along with Residential Hospice 20 other local charities will receive an equal portion of all funds raised over the $10,000 mark.

Local talent from various radio stations and the Roxy Theatre will entertain listeners from 1pm to 8pm on 560 CFOS.
