Four Charges Laid After Dog Attack In Wingham

Police say two children and a teenager victims of "vicious dog" attack in North Huron town.

Two children and a teenager have been treated at hospital, for injuries suffered in a dog attack in Wingham earlier this month.

Huron OPP say the victims were attacked and bitten by what police describe as "an out of control vicious dog".

Investigators tell us an American Staffordshire Terrier slipped out of its collar, then ran from its owner's John Street West residence to a nearby church and private school where the attack took place.

The children suffered non life-threatening injuries.

The American Staffordshire Terrier is a banned breed in Ontario.

A 20 year-old Wingham man is due up in Goderich Court next Tuesday on four charges under the Dog Owner's Liability Act.
