Access to Goderich's beach area is being restricted to work vehicles and personnel only, effective Sunday morning December 1st.
That's when work on stabilizing the shoreline around the water treatment plant and Beach Street Station is due to start.
South Harbour Road will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians, except those directly involved in the work.
Stairways from the bluff to the beach area will also be closed.
The north end of the beachfront was severely damaged during a windstorm earlier this month.
Town Council authorized the remediation at its most recent meeting this week.
Municipal officials say there is no set date for completion of the work, and reopening of the road and stairways.
