Website Update and More Accessible

Port Elgin | by Robyn Garvey

Last year the Town's website boasted 75 thousand users with almost 300-thousand page views.

The upgraded website promises to serve as a one stop communication shop for online visitors.

It's all part of Hanover's ongoing commitment to strengthen the ties of communication between the municipality and the public.

Economic Development Manager April Marshall say in this day of instant communication and information it is important Hanover's website is able to remain current and relevant.

The revamped website includes a new and improved user-friendly homepage, an interactive calendar that the public can post on as well as the ability to adjust font size for accessibility reasons.

Whether is checking out the pool schedule, viewing the upcoming cultural events, searching the business director or just inquiring as to the next tax instalment due date, all of this information is now just a click away.

This is the first upgrade Hanover's website has had in years, and Marshall is very pleased with the results

Marshall says in this world of instant communication, it is imperative that Hanover utilize its website as communication too.

Last year the Town's website boasted 75 thousand users with almost 300-thousand page views.

With the launch of Hanover's fresh new and improved website, those numbers are expected to rise even higher.

Mayor Sue Paterson note that this new and improved website is so easy to use that she is confident everyone will be pleased.
